My name is Jenn Broda and let me welcome you to teareflections.com! I do not consider myself to be a tea expert but merely someone who enjoys tea and wants to share that with others.
I did not come from a tea drinking family and the only experience I had with “real tea” was highly sugared, watered down iced tea. All of my family is from the south and so sweet tea was never in short supply. However, I happen to not like the taste of sweet tea and growing up I figured that was what all tea actually tasted like. It wasn’t until I had my first taste of good quality tea did I realize how great and complex it was. At that time, my tea journey began.
During college I became very familiar with herbal tisanes. Being a vocal performance major meant that I and my fellow singers needed warm drinks for our delicate throats (haha). Most of them always had tea or coffee around, but since I couldn’t stand the taste of tea, so I thought, I drank herbal tisanes instead. One day I received a gift certificate to Adagio Teas and I was hooked! I continue trying and exploring the world of tea and hope you will join me on my adventure!

- I am not a tea expert or a tea snob. I drink all sorts of tea/tisanes and share my thoughts here at teareflections.com. That means you will see reviews of loose leaf teas as well as bagged teas.

- I will review teas that I have purchased myself as well as teas that have been sent to me by tea companies.
- When possible, I try to take my own pictures of tea and teaware. I am NOT a professional photographer and I do not have an amazing camera. Unless otherwise noted, all the pictures on this blog are taken by me. Therefore, please forgive any low quality or unprofessional pictures. It gives the blog more character I think!
A Note to Tea Merchants:
- I do accept tea or tisane samples to be reviewed on this blog and greatly appreciate when you send them my way.
- I will do my best to taste and review as many samples as I can, however, I cannot guarantee that I will be able to review right away or like every sample I receive. If you need me to expedite a review, just let me know.
