Celestial Seasonings – Sleepytime Vanilla

Name: Sleepytime Vanilla
Company: Celestial Seasonings
Type: Herbal
Cost: $7.18 for 2 boxes
One of the very first herbal teas I ever tried was from Celestial Seasonings. I had been given a box of their herbal sampler many years ago while I was in college and their herbal infusions have always been around in my tea collection. I suffer terribly with sleep issues and have tried just about everything known to man to get my rest which includes drinking the incredibly popular Sleepytime tea. I currently have three boxes of this tea in my cabinet. Regular, Extra, and now the newest addition, Vanilla.
I frequently have myself a cup of Sleepytime before bed. Though it does not help me drift off into dreamland, it does relax me greatly and for a moment my mind is calm. I was thrilled to pieces to get the new Sleepytime Vanilla. This is the first flavored Sleepytime tea to be released all in the years it has been on the market and I’m glad vanilla was chosen. I simply adore anything vanilla! And I have to say I was not disappointed with this in the least.
The ingredients in this herbal tea are as follows: chamomile, spearmint, west indian lemongrass, natural french vanilla flavor, tulia flowers, blackberry leaves, hawthorn, orange blossoms and rosebuds. All those together make a wonderful tasting, caffeine free cup of unblemished taste. Most nights I drink some sort of herbal tea because I don’t want any extra caffeine to keep me up and I have been neglecting all other herbals for this one after I tried it.
The taste of the chamomile, spearmint, and vanilla come together perfectly blending into a cloud-like swirl of relaxation. The flavor is soft but still present. Soothing but not subdued. This is truly a wonderful addition to the Celestial Seasonings line and I am so very happy to have discovered a new, and lovely bedtime tea.
